Lee Fields returns to Paris on 11 February 2027 at the Élysée Montmartre, with a new album announced and his unmistakable way of bringing soul to life on stage, blending raw warmth, tight funk, and ballads that take their time. Since the late 1960s, the North Carolina-born singer has built a reputation as a performer, long compared to James Brown for his energy and his husky voice. After years of relative quiet, he relaunched the machine in the late 1990s, before finding a real second wind alongside The Expressions. From My World to Faithful Man, then Emma Jean, Special Night and It Rains Love, he has crafted a modern yet rooted soul, driven by brass, precise grooves and a voice that tells stories without overdoing it. Having joined Daptone Records for the release Sentimental Fool, Fields keeps moving forward without betraying the essential: direct, human songs, built for the live show.
