Jack de Marseille
A pioneer of electro music, Jack de Marseille helped shape the French electronic scene, both as a DJ, producer, and owner of the Wicked Music label.
Since the late 1980s, he has performed in clubs and at festivals such as Astropolis, Nuits Sonores, Awakenings, Timewarp, Sonar, Love Parade (Berlin), Yinyang (Great Wall of China). He co-organizes the 'Atomix', one of the first rave parties in Marseille (1992), and he was the first DJ to participate in Daft Punk's tour for their debut album. Open to diverse milieus, he has provided music for fashion shows dedicated to Paco Rabanne, Castelbajac, and Jean-Paul Gaultier, and appears on the soundtrack of the stage version of Trainspotting.
The success of his sets earned him the title of Best French DJ by magazines devoted to electronic music and culture, Coda and Trax. In the 2000s, he entered the International Top 100 DJs, as ranked by Max magazine. In 2015 he founded the Jack in the Box festival.
