Snow Patrol are bringing an acoustic set to the Millennium Forum in Derry on October 13, 2026, stripping their melodic alt-rock down to what’s always driven it: songs built on clean guitar lines, slow-burn crescendos, and Gary Lightbody’s plainspoken writing.
Formed in the late 90s and shaped through records like Final Straw and Eyes Open, the band have always balanced big choruses with more restrained ballads. In an acoustic format, that push and pull comes into focus: the hooks stay, but the tension shifts to dynamics, voice, and the spaces between the chords.
Now centered on the trio of Lightbody, Nathan Connolly and Johnny McDaid, Snow Patrol’s recent chapter also feeds the set, with newer material sitting next to the classics in a way that feels closer, less layered, and more direct.
