On May 12, 2027 in Toulouse, Cock Robin lands at the Casino Barrière with a tour conceived as a return to the 1985–1989 period, the era that established the band in the collective memory between melodic pop, new wave and bittersweet rock. Originally, Cock Robin is San Francisco and above all the Peter Kingsbery / Anna LaCazio duo: a clear writing, keyboards that sketch space, clean guitars, and that back-and-forth between masculine and feminine voices that gives the songs their distinctive edge.
This revisiting of the 80s puts the emphasis on the pop momentum of the early records, the immediate choruses and the more taut ballads, with that eye for detail that marked their European concerts. And while the band's story continued after the split, into a new phase led by Kingsbery from France, the Toulouse evening promises above all to rediscover Cock Robin's DNA: songs built for the stage, carried by the dialogue of voices and a distinctly pop melancholy.
