SOMBR returns to Belgium with the ‘You Are The Reason Tour’: on May 16, 2027 at the AFAS Dome in Antwerp, meet the alter ego of Shane Michael Boose, 21, a New Yorker who has mastered the art of indie rock in a visceral, skin-deep way. Producing solo, he built a sound that sits between alt-rock guitars and dark pop, carried by a deep voice and lyrics that look straight into the void. Since ‘caroline’, followed by tracks that became staples such as ‘back to friends’, ‘undressed’ or ‘12 to 12’, SOMBR has kept the pace up without easing off, leading to the album I Barely Know Her (2025), oscillating between melodic tension and a confessional tone. On stage, it’s the opportunity to gauge the scale these songs have reached: originally intimate, now shaped for a large venue. Opening act Ravyn Lenae will bring her alternative R&B grace: a clear voice, airy arrangements and that discreet groove sense that has marked her from Chicago to her albums Hypnos (2022) and Bird’s Eye (2024), blending neo-soul, atmospheric pop and electronic touches. Jessie Mazin completes the lineup.
