Uk hip-hop titan Essa joins forces with groove architect J-Felix to launch The Fifth Foundation, a group bridging rap’s golden era with the vibrant rhythms of the modern jazz underground at Alphabet on 2 October 2026.
Flanked by an ensemble including vocalists Avijè and Vanya Lyma, trumpeter Jack Kendon, and drummer Richard Spaven, Essa addresses truth, ego, and generational legacy over J-Felix’s blend of neo-soul, funk, and live instrumentation.
Translating their debut LP into a live entity, the collective expands to a full band for this show, with sharp lyricism, live brass, and roots-deep soul.
