Dubioza Kolektiv comes to the Astra Kulturhaus in Berlin on 10 April 2027 and brings exactly this mix to the stage—the mix that emerged in the early 2000s in post-war Bosnia and Herzegovina: ska-punk meets reggae, hip-hop, rock, electronic music, and Balkan brass. Since its founding in 2003, the collective has drawn its energy from a scene that offered little room for cultural and political expression—and from it created songs that address social realities directly, without hiding behind coolness or poses.
Live, for them it's fast, dense, and very physical: driving rhythms, chanting refrains, a lot of interaction with the audience, and a constant switch between local languages and English.
