On December 11, 2026, at Les Trinitaires in Metz, Sofie Royer will take the stage to present before/after, an album that confronts her with the tensions between the past and the future. Rather than pitting eras against each other, the Austro-Iranian artist tracks those patterns that recur as one grows older, those small inner struggles that end up guiding our choices. Her pop, precise and melodic, preserves that blend of synth-pop and a keen attention to detail that has sharpened across her latest records.
Between Vienna, New York, London and Los Angeles, Royer has built a universe nourished by visual references and European pop culture, with nods ranging from Fassbinder to David Lynch, not forgetting Falco. For before/after, she has surrounded herself with producers with very contemporary sensibilities (Matt Cohn, Jorgen Odegard, Eli Hirsch), to push her writing and textures even further.
Joining her, Jessica Winter completes the lineup for an evening devoted to modern, edgy and playful pop.
