PLAY brings together two acts on 12 September 2026 at the Kesselhaus in Augsburg who do not view techno as a mere function on the dancefloor, but as a narrative of pressure, tension, and atmosphere.
Schrotthagen, the German duo comprising film composer Dieter Schleip and producer Giovanni Berg, translates its roots in soundtrack work into a "cinematic techno" approach: front-facing kicks, trance-like textures, and long arcs of tension that function like scene changes. Melodic builds, dense textures, and a dark, direct drive interlock without losing the club focus.
Alessia Cattani complements the lineup with hypnotic grooves and a knack for experimental sonic spaces where details carve into the rhythm and the sound remains in constant motion. Taken together, it promises a night that swings between raw energy and finely crafted sound architecture — clearly electronic, but with edge and a concept.
