The Howl & The Hum is the indie project led by York songwriter Sam Griffiths, known for its emotionally rich storytelling, cinematic soundscapes and live performances. Blending indie rock, folk and alternative pop with lyrical honesty, the band first broke through with their debut album Human Contact before returning with the personal Same Mistake Twice.
Their songs explore love, loss, hope and human connection with wit, warmth and vulnerability, earning comparisons to artists such as The National, Bon Iver and Frightened Rabbit. Whether performing intimate acoustic moments or anthems, The Howl & The Hum delivers a live show that is both powerful and affecting.
