Don't let the umlaut fool you: The interdisciplinary techno artist Zemög hails from Colombia and stands for a sound that is unmistakably tribal rather than Teutonic. Alongside his deep passion for modular synthesis, Jose Gómez Ríos has been a fixture on Pereira's club scene since 2012. There he also founded the collective Matteria, to give local electronic music a platform. In 2022 he launched his own label Tepuy Records, and in the following year his debut album Daxita appeared on the Argentine imprint Danza Nativa. This evening at Berghain he will be joined by two DJs from Japan: OCCA from Hokkaido and YSK from Kyushu, pooling their forces for a joint back-to-back set.
