Marcellus Pittman is one of the essential figures of the Detroit sound, a member of 3 Chairs alongside Theo Parrish, Moodymann, and Rick Wilhite, and responsible for a vision rooted in soul, jazz, and the most organic house. His career, forged from the city’s radio culture to his international reach, defines an approach where tradition and creative freedom converge.
As a DJ and producer, his approach is built on rhythm, intuition, and a raw, emotional sensibility, free from formulas. Through his label Unirhythm, he continues to expand a language of his own that keeps the essence of club culture alive.
