An early pioneer and music aficionado, Fred, aka Back From the Wave, eagerly embraces the early currents of several major strands of electronic music: acid house, Detroit techno, house music, the French Touch, but also new wave, and follows acts such as Depeche Mode and New Order. In the late 1990s, he buys synthesizers and begins composing. Over the years, several multifaceted artistic and musical projects, undertaken under various stage names, would lead to signings with French and international labels (Scandium Records, the label of André Dalcan and Paul Nazca; Goodlife, Oxia and The Hacker's label; Rotation, Dave Angel's label). Since 2019, Back From the Wave has produced numerous EPs and remixes for other artists, ranging from electro to EBM, from new beat to indie dance. His music quickly drew the attention of foreign labels such as Bordello A Parigi, Melodize, Roam Records, Factor City, Ombra International, but also French ones like Ritmo Fatale, Mélopée Records and, more recently, Space Factory, David Carretta's label, a precursor of the electroclash movement in France with The Hacker and Kittin. His tracks are played by DJs such as DJ Hell, Jennifer Cardini, The Hacker, Endrik Schroder, Captain Mustache, Alessandro Adriani, etc., but also by the younger generation such as Kendal, Bélaria, Mélanie Havens, or the New Yorker Andi. Alongside his work as a producer, Back From the Wave regularly performs on stages such as Cabaret Sauvage in Paris, Le Terminal in Lyon, Le Bikini, Le Rockstore, or Rachdingue in Spain. His energetic sets reflect his productions, dedicated to the dancefloor and blending electro, EBM, indie dance and italo disco. His perseverance and exploration make him an artist to follow.
