Bonobo lands at Strange Brew, Bristol, on 16 September 2026 for a DJ set conceived as a direct extension of his new album Distance In Static, released on Ninja Tune. Under this name, Simon Green has built over the years a distinctive sound, blending downtempo, trip hop, nu jazz and club-oriented pulses, with a sense of nuance that is as much the strength of his records as of his selections.
Here, no live band: Bonobo returns to the essentials of DJing—mixing and storytelling. One can expect a tighter performance, crafted to set textures in motion, hushed basslines and gradual crescendos, drawing as much on his new material as on bridges to his classics and influences. A short, intense format, ideal for gauging the mood of this new chapter in real-world conditions, on a dancefloor.
