Talia is a Caribbean-American musician fusing acoustic and electronic sounds out of Brooklyn. She builds worlds encompassing folk, dream pop, and electronica, brought together by an intimate perspective and an ethereal approach to voice. Her sound lives between the organic and the digital, the cathartic and the kinetic.
Mal Sounds is the dream pop project of Brooklyn-based artist Amal Salem, born from five months stranded in Valencia, Spain as the world shut down. Amal creates music that is softly distorted, spacious, and liminal. Each song is a wall of sound exploring closeness, alienation, and the space in between. Across eleven tracks of slowcore, trip hop, and ambient textures, his upcoming debut album "Don't Hold Your Breath" wanders through stories about childhood, self-acceptance, and love.
Che Ali (also known as Che Buford) is an experimental interdisciplinary artist based in New York City. Che primarily performs and creates music as a violinist and composer while also integrating objects, voice, movement, and poetry. Their practice often deals with themes around memory, place, the quotidian, and humanness through a somatic lens, while in dialogue with poetic possibility and conceptual inquiry. Their work explores timbral details, resonance, introspection, interiority, and starkness, realized through improvisational performance and acoustic and electroacoustic sound worlds.
