Jordan Rakei comes to the Gashouder in Amsterdam on 13 April 2027 with his A Safe Place To Be Wild Tour, the largest headlining run of his career to date. In this new chapter he brings his soulful, jazzy and slightly psychedelic universe even closer to the skin: songs that revolve around self-acceptance, vulnerability, and the freedom to work creatively without filters. Rakei lets go of the idea of expectations and fully embraces feeling, instinct, and groove, with that characteristic warm production in which keyboards, subtle electronics and live-band energy reinforce each other. The single 'Enemies' already sets the tone: relaxed, summery and direct, with a smooth flow that nods as much to R&B as to contemporary soul.
Olive Jones opens the evening. The London-based singer-songwriter and guitarist moves between soul, folk and contemporary pop, with an intimate lyrical style, soft harmonies and a warm voice that draws you in right away. A supporting act that fits perfectly with Rakei’s blend of finesse and emotion.
