If you’re here for ElGrandeToto, you’re here for a rapper who moves effortlessly between styles and languages. The Casablanca-born Taha Fahssi (born 1996) originally started with krump, but halfway through the 2010s found his own place in rap. Since his breakthrough with “Pablo,” he has established a sound in which Darija, French, English and, at times, Spanish intertwine, carried by trap, drill and grime, with detours toward afropop and afrobeat. Live, it’s about rhythm, melody and flow switches: tight, nimble and direct.
In his releases you hear that drive for change reflected, from Illicit to Caméléon, where he alternates introspective tracks with more frontal cuts and productions leaning toward urban pop. With 27 and SALGOAT he carried that line forward: more personal, but still with that hybrid character. On November 12, 2026, ElGrandeToto will perform at Melkweg in Amsterdam, with a set as versatile as his discography.
