MPL (for Ma Pauvre Lucette) lands at the Théâtre de Yerres in Yerres on March 26, 2027 with its five-member collective and its distinctive universe. Born in 2012, the project has grown around a shared mythology, blending intimate narratives, black humor and a deliberately offbeat aesthetic, always at the service of the songs.
On stage, MPL showcases the power of the choir and the art of staging, with writing that navigates between literary song, pop-inflected energy, hip-hop rhythms and electro touches. The group has evolved its palette across releases, from LU7 and Ma Pauvre Lucette to L’Étoile (2020) and Bonhommes (2022), while preserving that sense of narrative and the imagery that accompanies the music. More recently, En Montgolfière (2024) offers an acoustic reinterpretation, more stripped-down, of their repertoire, without losing the emotional tension that defines their signature.
