Twiztid is finally back in Toronto for a date that signals a comeback. The Warren, Michigan-based duo, formed by Jamie Madrox and Monoxide Child, has been navigating since the late 1990s through a dark underground hip-hop scene, between horrorcore, hardcore rap and hooks that sometimes tilt toward rap rock. Their signature is this blend of macabre storytelling, black humor, and more melodic choruses, carried by two complementary voices: one more abrasive, the other more flexible, that respond to and provoke each other.
Initially spotted through the juggalo ecosystem and Psychopathic Records, they marked their journey with milestones such as Mostasteless, Freek Show, Mirror Mirror, or The Green Book, before paving their path independently and developing their universe with Majik Ninja Entertainment. On stage, Twiztid turns this repertoire into a frontal show, where tracks alternate between tension, rap energy and more rock passages.
