Info
On January 16, 2027, at the Trianon Transatlantique in Sotteville-lès-Rouen, Alice on the Roof brings her airy pop and crystalline timbre, somewhere between luminous melancholy and discreet warmth. Trained at the conservatory, for a long time associated with a chiaroscuro style of writing carried by the piano, she has in recent years begun a more frontal turn with songs in French: more direct lyrics, an embraced vulnerability, without losing her taste for hushed arrangements and catchy refrains that linger in the mind.
Opening, Ysé unfurls a French pop with intimate, tightly crafted writing, playing on the nuances and rhythm of the words. Between contemporary chanson and light electro-pop, her tracks move forward without over-emphasizing, carried by a spare voice and understated arrangements. After the EPs Oser and Rêver, and a solid live-performance career, she defends the emotional momentum of Pour ce qui nous attend de mieux, with this blend of restraint and energy that holds all its charm.
