On March 25, 2027, HENGE lands at The Grove, Newcastle upon Tyne, with its distinctly offbeat blend of psychedelic rock, space rock, electro and avant-pop, which the Manchester quartet calls "cosmic dross". On stage, everything runs through weightless synth lines, a bassline that drives the groove, a drumbeat with a steady engine and guitars with acid-tinged tones. The result moves between song format, repetitive trance and more experimental forays, without trying to pick a side.
Since the Cosmic Dross EP (2017), HENGE has built its trajectory with Attention Earth! (2018), ExoKosm (2020), Alpha Test 4 (2023) and Journey to Voltus B (2025), advancing mainly through live performance and alternative circuits. Behind the characters Zpor, Goo, Sol and Nom, there is a genuine group writing, conceived for the live show, with a sci-fi universe extended by imagery and storytelling, notably through a series of comics launched in 2019.
