We Are Scientists return to the stage with their nervy, lean indie rock, born in Berkeley and honed in New York around the duo Keith Murray and Chris Cain. Their recipe remains intact: dry guitars, bass-forward, short, direct songs, somewhere between alternative rock and post-punk revival, with that knack for a chorus that sticks quickly.
Since With Love and Squalor (2005), the band has evolved its writing toward brighter power pop without relinquishing the original tension, releasing records such as Brain Thrust Mastery, Barbara, and even TV en Français, up to the more recent Lobes (2023) and Qualifying Miles (2025). On October 1, 2026, at Rock City in Nottingham, they will defend this journey with a string of efficient tracks, tailored for live performance and powered by an energy that goes straight to the point.
