Valery Meladze will perform in concert on 8 March 2027 at Wembley Arena in London. Born in Batumi (Georgia) and since the late 1980s established in the Russian-speaking musical space, he has made his mark with expansive, melancholic pop, at the crossroads of orchestrated variety, pop rock, and touches of art rock. Trained on the piano, he first cut his teeth alongside his brother Konstantin Meladze, then with Dialog, a band shaped by the Soviet progressive scene, before taking flight as a solo artist in the early 1990s. His repertoire rests on highly melodic songwriting, crafted choruses and often dramatic arrangements, without aiming for a hard-edged rock sound. Albums such as Sera, Posledny romantik, Samba belogo motylka, Vsyo tak i bylo, Nega, or Vopreki have established this signature made of ballads, mid-tempos and more rhythmic tracks. On stage, Meladze unfolds this blend of vocal precision and emotional tension that has underpinned his longevity, between catalog songs and more pop moments.
