On October 6, 2026 at the Rickshaw Theatre in Vancouver, Nekrogoblikon bring their weird, riff-heavy universe to town. Born in Santa Barbara and later based in Los Angeles, the band has carved out its own lane by smashing melodic death metal with metalcore bite, flashes of power metal, and synth-driven detours that can turn on a dime. Frontman Nicky Calonne’s mix of harsh and clean vocals sits right on top of tight, fast guitar work, while the whole “goblin” storyline ties the chaos together into something strangely coherent. Expect big hooks, sharp tempo changes, and that off-kilter stage energy the band is known for.
Rivers of Nihil join the bill with their technical, progressive take on death metal, built around precise riffs and more atmospheric, layered moods. Coming out of Pennsylvania, they’ve developed a sound that moves between brute force and spacious, almost cinematic passages, the kind that hits as hard live as it does on record.
Cyborg Octopus completes the lineup, leaning into eccentric, high-skill metal that keeps things unpredictable from start to finish.
