Turnover brings its Down on Earth Tour to Vancouver on November 19, 2026 at the Commodore Ballroom. Formed in Virginia Beach, the band started out in pop-punk and emo before pivoting toward a softer, more textural sound. Over the years, they’ve settled into a sweet spot where indie rock meets dream pop and soft grunge: airy guitars, mid-tempo grooves, and that introspective writing that sticks around long after the chorus. Expect a set that moves between the punchier early edges and the hazier, more melodic phase that shaped their identity, with a live approach built on dynamics rather than volume for volume’s sake.
Nothing opens the night with their Philadelphia-bred take on shoegaze: thick distortion, vocals tucked into the mix, and a melancholic pull that nods to 90s classics while staying rooted in alternative rock. Their songs balance noise and clarity, switching from crushing walls of sound to stripped-back moments without losing tension.
Also on the bill, trauma ray comes in from Fort Worth with a heavier blend of shoegaze, grunge, and doom-tinged alternative rock. Saturated riffs, abrupt shifts, and dark melodies make their live show feel physical, like being caught inside the fog.
