Virtual Riot and Blanke team up for the Toronto date of their Far From Home Tour, on August 22, 2026 at the Rebel. Behind Virtual Riot, the German producer Christian Valentin Brunn, a figure in bass music since the early 2010s, develops ultra-detailed dubstep, fueled by drum & bass, complextro and very present melodies. His approach, at once technical and direct, relies on tight rhythms, clean breaks and a sound design that pushes textures to their limits, in keeping with his releases on Disciple and his album German Engineering.
Facing him, Blanke (John Paul Orchison) brings a darker and more cinematic writing, between bass music, electro and drum & bass, with a sense of build-up and heavy bass that bridges club energy and narrative tension. Habituated to North American circuits and to notable collaborations, he also navigates via his ÆON:MODE project toward a more intense DnB. Two complementary visions for a night focused on escalating tension and impact.
