Geordie Greep

On 10 August 2026 at Klub 2progi in Poznań, Geordie Greep brings his songwriting and multi-instrumental approach to the stage. As the voice and principal writer of Black Midi, he helped define a sound where art rock, post-punk angles and jazz fusion cross paths, with abrupt rhythms, unstable forms and a taste for narrative vocals. Since the group paused in 2024, he has moved forward under his own name, keeping the dense, theatrical delivery while tightening the storytelling and the play of contrasts.

His first solo album, The New Sound (Rough Trade, 2024), sets the tone: experimental rock with Latin accents, jazz colours and character-driven songs. Live, these pieces tend to bend and switch course, with elastic riffs, sudden tempo pivots and room for improvisation. The set moves from clipped grooves to spoken passages, from knotty guitar figures to pared-back stretches where the text takes the lead.

At Klub 2progi, Greep treats form as something open, folding influences without pastiche and letting composition and instinct trade places from section to section. A focused, restless show built on voice, guitar lines and rhythm games, in Poznań on 10 August 2026.
