Jack & Jack

On 10 November 2026 Jack & Jack will perform at the Melkweg in Amsterdam. The duo from Omaha — Jack Gilinsky and Jack Johnson — began in the early 2010s with short videos on Vine and YouTube. From that online start their focus shifted to music: a pop sound rooted in hip-hop, with R&B accents and choruses that rely on the interplay between their two voices.

First came standalone singles and the EP Calibraska (2015); later their sound moved toward more direct pop, with smooth rhythms and contemporary production. Along the way they also ventured into electronic pop, including collaborations with Jonas Blue, which broadened their reach outside the U.S. and strengthened their place in the international live circuit.

In 2019 the album A Good Friend Is Nice was released, a continuation of that blend of pop, light rap and R&B, consistently centered on the duo and their harmonies. On stage Jack & Jack play out that interplay: call-and-response, two-part hooks and tempos that keep the set moving. From early online tracks to more recent material, the show at the Melkweg traces the trajectory of two voices that complement each other without frills.
