Capleton lands in Birmingham on 19 September 2026 at O2 Academy Birmingham for a set built on the pulse of dancehall and the depth of roots reggae. Born Clifton George Bailey III in Saint Mary, Jamaica, he came up through Kingston’s sound system culture at the end of the 80s, breaking out in the early 90s with Alms House and Good So. His delivery is taut, rapid and percussive, sliding between deejay fire and melodic phrasing, with lyrics steeped in Rastafari spirituality, social questions and a recurring flame imagery that has marked his catalog.
