Alborosie

Alborosie lands at Button Factory, Dublin, on December 7, 2026, with a set anchored in roots reggae and dub shaped over three decades. Born Alberto D’Ascola in Sicily, the singer, multi-instrumentalist and producer first broke through in the early 90s with Reggae National Tickets before relocating to Jamaica in 2000. There he refined his craft as an engineer alongside John Baker, took part in studio sessions with Manu Chao, and kicked off a solo run with his debut Soul Pirate. He later recorded with the Tuff Gong family and kept the pace with albums like Escape from Babylon and 2 Times Revolution, building a catalogue that bridges Italy and Kingston.

On stage, Alborosie balances rugged riddims and melodic hooks, mixing conscious lyrics, heavy basslines and live dub effects. The show moves between meditative roots and a more dancehall-driven pulse, with vintage textures and tight grooves giving space to his gravelly voice and patois flow.
