Black Stone Cherry

Black Stone Cherry bring their Kentucky-bred hard rock to O2 City Hall Newcastle on 9 February 2027. Since 2001, the band has carved out a sound where southern-tinged riffs, blues grit and modern crunch meet, steered by singer-guitarist Chris Robertson and guitarist Ben Wells. Their self-titled debut laid the foundations with Rain Wizard and Lonely Train, then came Folklore and Superstition, Between the Devil and the Deep Blue Sea and Magic Mountain, each sharpening a balance of thick guitars, driving rhythms and straight-ahead melody.

On stage, the quartet leans into tight twin-guitar lines, heavy grooves and stacked harmonies. The newer chapter, from The Human Condition to Screamin’ at the Sky, sits naturally alongside earlier staples, keeping the set grounded in rootsy textures while pushing a more contemporary edge. Expect a run of blues-soaked burners, slow-blooming mid-tempos and big choruses, delivered with the unvarnished energy that has made their live shows a fixture for fans of southern rock and hard rock alike. Newcastle gets a full tour of their catalogue, past to present, on a night built for loud guitars and no-frills songs.
