DMA’s return to O2 Guildhall, Southampton, on 1 February 2027 with a set shaped by jangling guitars, direct melodies and a clear tilt toward britpop. Formed in Sydney in 2012, the trio of Tommy O’Dell (vocals), Matt Mason and Johnny Took (guitars) built its identity between indie rock and alternative pop, first breaking through with the single Delete and an early self-titled EP before widening its scope album after album.

On stage, they often thread the guitar-led writing of Hills End and For Now with the broader, sometimes dance-tinged textures unveiled on The Glow and carried forward on How Many Dreams?. Melodies stay up front, built on crisp guitars and steady rhythms, with O’Dell’s voice giving the choruses a clean lift. Their path through UK venues and festivals, plus tours alongside Liam Gallagher, Richard Ashcroft, Kasabian and The Kooks, has cemented an affinity with the British guitar lineage without breaking from their Sydney roots.

In Southampton, DMA’s tap into a catalogue spanning more than a decade, moving through early singles, fan favourites and newer cuts. It’s a snapshot of the band’s ongoing evolution, from tight indie contours to wider soundscapes, delivered by a trio whose songs are written to land live.
