Imminence

On 12 January 2027 at Manchester Academy in Manchester, Imminence bring their cinematic take on modern metalcore to the stage. Formed in southern Sweden, the band has carved a space where melodic choruses, dense guitar work and shadowy atmospheres meet, with a distinctive twist: frontman Eddie Berg’s violin woven through the arrangements. That instrument isn’t a gimmick but a thread that sharpens contrasts and shifts the music from tension to release in a snap.

Across albums, Imminence have pushed this balance in different directions. After early EPs and a debut, I, in 2014, they opened up their songwriting on This Is Goodbye (2017) before leaning back into heavier ground with Turn the Light On (2019) and Heaven in Hiding (2021). The Black (2024) amplified the clash between rhythmic bite, airy melodies and symphonic shades, followed by a reimagined look back with The Reclamation of I (2024) and the continuation The Return of The Black (2025).
