Ana Popovic appears on 17 November 2026 at Spirit of 66 in Verviers. The Belgrade-born guitarist and singer moves between electric blues, funk, soul and rock. Live, it’s about tightly executed guitar lines, smooth rhythms and songs that let the groove speak, carried by a band in which guitar, vocals and a flexible rhythm section carry the conversation.

After starting out in the Serbian blues and rock scene, she moved via the Netherlands to Los Angeles; that journey can be heard in her set, where American influences collide and blend with a European background. Expect a cross-section of more than two decades of music, from Hush! and Comfort to the Soul to Can You Stand the Heat, Trilogy, Like It on Top and Power, with room for new material and passages that let the interplay breathe.

Since the 2000s Popovic has played clubs, theatres and festivals across Europe and North America without interruption and regularly shares the stage with blues and rock musicians. In Verviers it comes down to the essentials: a compact lineup close to the groove, a direct guitar and vocal line, and songs that take the audience along without fuss.
