Info
On November 12, 2026, The Afghan Whigs bring their brooding blend of rock, soul and R&B to The Concert Hall in Toronto. Formed in Cincinnati in 1986 around singer-guitarist Greg Dulli and bassist John Curley, the band emerged from the American indie underground, moving from a self-released debut to the Sub Pop era with Up in It and Congregation. With Gentlemen and Black Love, they honed a sound of taut guitars and groove-led rhythms, while Dulli’s lyrics circled relationships, guilt and desire, before pushing that line further on 1965. After a pause in the 2000s, the group returned in the 2010s with Do to the Beast, In Spades and How Do You Burn?, keeping a dark, soulful current while sharpening the storytelling pulse that runs through their songs. A catalog that spans decades yet holds together, built on arrangements that swing between bite and slow-burn tension.
Night Moves joins the bill for this Toronto date.
