Alborosie

Alborosie brings his Nine Mile UK Tour to Chalk, Brighton, on 4 December 2026. The most Jamaican of the Sicilians, the producer-singer known as Pupa Albo hits the road with a new album, two years after Destiny, for a live set where fresh tracks meet the staples that built his name.

Born Alberto D’Ascola, he left Sicily for Kingston to live the culture at the source. Based in Jamaica for over two decades, he forges a sound anchored in roots reggae and stretching into rub-a-dub, raggamuffin, dancehall and dub, shaped by his craft as an engineer and multi-instrumentalist.

On stage, Alborosie blends new singles with cornerstone cuts from a catalogue started in the early 1990s. Heavy bass, crisp drums, melodic hooks and conscious lyrics carried by his grainy voice define a show that treats studio textures and live energy with the same care.

With over a thousand concerts worldwide, he brings a tight, road-tested band and the pulse of Jamaica’s sound system tradition to the venue. In Brighton, Nine Mile is about groove, message and a journey through the many shades of reggae that Alborosie explores.
