Info
Headache brings together writer and poet Francis Hornsby Clark and London producer Joseph Thornalley, aka Vegyn. On November 2, 2026 at the Élysée Montmartre in Paris, as part of the Pitchfork Music Festival Paris, the duo will present Thank You For Almost Everything, a second record that extends their blend of trip-hop and downtempo electronica. Anchored by a spoken-word delivered in an AI-generated voice, their writing moves through images of youth, fragments of cities, shifting seasons and scenes of couples by the water, questioning what it means to be alive in a world at once opaque and pierced by glimmers of light.
On stage, Headache stretches these felt textures into slow grooves, rolling basslines and minimal percussion, leaving room for the text to breathe. The synthetic voice functions as a cool, detached narrator, surrounded by grainy pads, floating keyboards and tiny sonic details that pull the ear in. In successive strokes, the duo drifts away from a typical British grayness toward clearer horizons, hovering between spoken confession and urban drift. A kind of augmented reading that meets an electronic set, it makes for an intimate, precise live performance.
