Anthony Kavanagh « Jet Lag »

Anthony Kavanagh returns with Jet Lag, a show in which he turns jet lag into stand-up material. A Québécois embraced by the French scene, he plays with languages, codes and small cultural collisions, alternating one-liners, improv and musical nods. We follow him on his back-and-forths between continents—those moments when the body moves on but the mind lags behind, when modern life makes us lose our bearings. He observes, imitates, dances a little, tells a lot, and sketches what connects us as much as what divides us, from the most mundane everyday moments to the questions that nag at us. His sense of rhythm and improvisation brings memories, accents and characters to the surface, between Québécois-style stand-up and a Parisian spirit. Jet Lag becomes his playground to talk about identity, society and very topical contradictions, without posturing and with a desire to share.
