Emmure channels a blunt, breakdown-driven metalcore that leans into deathcore and nu metal, built around Frankie Palmeri’s voice and a percussive sense of groove. Since the early days of Goodbye to the Gallows, the band has pushed dissonant riffs and hip‑hop‑tinged cadences, later folding in nu metal bounce and electronic textures on records like Look at Yourself and Hindsight. Lyrically grounded in personal experience, everyday brutality and pop culture nods, their set stacks mosh parts and tight rhythmic shifts with a direct, unfussy energy.
Spite, formed in Southern California in 2014 around vocalist Darius Tehrani, delivers a compact strain of deathcore marked by choppy guitars, hard stops and an abrasive vocal palette. From Misery and Nothing Is Beautiful to Dedication to Flesh, the group has sharpened a writing style that balances faster bursts with heavy, slow-motion sections, keeping the focus on impact and clarity in the arrangements.
