Fabiano do Nascimento

Brazilian guitarist and composer Fabiano do Nascimento brings a set rooted in Rio traditions and open-ended jazz exploration. Raised in Rio and now based in Los Angeles, he plays nylon-string guitars with alternate tunings, moving between choro lines, afro-samba rhythms and spacious harmonies, sometimes shading the acoustic textures with discreet electronics. His playing is fluid and melodic, with pieces that drift from intricate counterpoint to gentle grooves, leaving room for improvisation and breath. Across his albums he’s traced this path with care; on stage, he opens it up further, weaving themes from recent records with new sketches and spontaneous detours.
