Loreena McKennitt

Loreena McKennitt celebrates the 30th anniversary of The Mask and The Mirror with a stop in Paris. On April 3, 2027, at the Salle Pleyel, the Canadian singer-songwriter will perform the entire 1994 album in sequence and will also slip in a few pieces beloved by her audience. A pivotal work in her career, The Mask and The Mirror blends Celtic traditions, Andalusian echoes and North African colors in an approach woven from ballads, instrumental pieces and texts drawn from literature and travel.

On stage, McKennitt relies on an acoustic lineup faithful to her signature sound. She will be joined by Caroline Lavelle on cello, Brian Hughes on guitar, Hugh Marsh on violin, Dudley Phillips on bass and Robert Brian on drums. This reinterpretation highlights the art of arrangement that runs through her discography, from The Visit to The Book of Secrets, and her way of linking tradition and modernity without flashy effects. The evening has been conceived as a musical journey, where each track regains its place and original breath, carried with voice and strings front and center.
