Beth Orton

Beth Orton brings her understated folk and electronic blend to the Commodore Ballroom in Vancouver on October 5, 2026. Emerging from mid-90s London, she first drew attention through collaborations with William Orbit and the Chemical Brothers before honing a personal writing style where acoustic guitars, discreet arrangements and soft electronic textures meet without crowding each other. Trailer Park and Central Reservation defined that balance: intimate songs edged with downtempo pulses. Daybreaker widened the palette; Comfort of Strangers stripped it back to essentials; later records—Sugaring Season, Kidsticks, Weather Alive—shifted between organic warmth and synth-leaning contours while keeping the melody at the forefront.
