Moontricks with special guests

Moontricks land at The Palace Theatre in Calgary on Friday, October 16, 2026, with a set that connects electronic production to North American folk traditions. Born in the Kootenays of British Columbia, producer Nathan Gurley and singer-songwriter Sean Rodman craft songs where bass music, downtempo and touches of glitch sit alongside acoustic guitar, banjo, harmonica and vocals tinged with blues and country. First spotted on West Coast festival stages, they’ve since taken this hybrid live setup across North America, moving between beat-driven instrumentals and melody-led tracks.

On stage, Moontricks lean into the balance that runs through their catalog, from early singles and EPs to Currents, the 2022 album that gathers their various strands. The interplay of live strings and harmonica with samples and low-end pressure shapes a show that lines up songcraft with club energy, letting organic textures and hooks click into electronic frameworks.
