Getdown Services

Rooted in the UK independent scene, Getdown Services splice post-punk bite with indie rock angles and a dance-led pulse. Their tracks hinge on looping basslines, dry drum-machine patterns and wiry guitars or synths, locking into a minimal, direct groove. Vocals land in that talked-sung pocket, close to spoken word, with lyrics that pick apart daily rituals, social codes and urban tics with straight-faced irony. On 28 November 2026, Getdown Services bring their biggest Manchester show to date to Manchester Academy. On stage, they drive a set shaped by lean grooves, clipped beats and sudden shifts, carrying the crossover they’ve honed between post-punk, electronic pop and alternative dance into a larger space. The focus stays on momentum and detail: basslines that loop with intent, vocals that tell it as it is, and arrangements that keep the floor in mind without losing the edge of a band born on the live circuit.
