Poitou & Pumpkin present their second album.
After Arômes Complexes, François Poitou & Pumpkin return with Ancré Chaos, a second chapter in which jazz and rap intertwine with depth and intensity.
Eleven tracks written and crafted by the two of them, where the rapper’s pen explores human nature, day and night, love and war, past and future, set against the compositions and arrangements of the double bassist.
Echoes of boom bap and trap, grooves and melodies, improvisations—intimate or energetic. On the playground of the Parisian bassist and the rapper from Nantes, jazz chord progressions blend with the classic codes of hip-hop alongside musicians Stéphane Adsuar [drums], Olivier Laisney [trumpet] and Maxime Berton [saxophone].
With Ancré Chaos, François Poitou & Pumpkin deliver a jazz-rap collaboration.
