Michel Fugain - C'est l'histoire d'une belle histoire

On 7 November 2026, Michel Fugain will take over the Théâtre Le Normandy in Le Havre with 'C’est l’histoire d’une belle histoire', a through-line concert spanning more than five decades of songs. From his beginnings in the 1960s to his most recent projects, he unfolds a repertoire in which melody serves the chorus, the rhythm and the clarity of the words. The shadow of the Big Bazar is never far away: that collective venture of the 1970s still informs his taste for blended voices, group momentum and choral arrangements.

Author, composer and performer, Fugain revisits his emblematic songs — 'Une belle histoire', 'La fête', 'Fais comme l’oiseau' — alongside pieces drawn from other periods of his career. The show traces a biographical arc composed of spoken transitions, echoed reprises and finely wrought versions, placing emphasis on ensemble work and the circulation of voices. It reveals his sense of passing things on and a direct way of inhabiting the stage, between shared memories and new colors. The programme is conceived to make the songs heard in the present, in a compact staged format that lets the texts and the polyphony breathe.
