Info
Teenage Fanclub play Project House in Leeds on 9 November 2026. Formed outside Glasgow in 1989, the band built a sound where chiming guitars, plain melodies and layered harmonies sit side by side. From the rough edges of A Catholic Education to the tightened craft of Bandwagonesque, then Grand Prix and Songs from Northern Britain, they shaped songs that lean on mid-tempos, unfussy refrains and interlaced guitar parts, drawing a line between 70s American pop and British indie.
On stage, Norman Blake and Raymond McGinley share vocals and songwriting, keeping the focus on tone, melody and balance rather than volume. Sets tend to weave recent material from Endless Arcade and Nothing Lasts Forever with earlier staples, letting the grain of the guitars and the blend of voices carry the mood. It’s a show built on steady rhythms, choruses that settle in without force and guitar figures that ring and return, delivered with the quiet assurance of a group that trusts its songs.
