Republica

Republica bring their blend of alternative rock, synth-pop and breakbeat back on stage. Formed in Windsor in 1994 around Tim Dorney and Andy Todd and powered by Saffron’s upfront voice, the band shaped a 90s sound built on taut guitars, nervy programming and pop hooks. Early singles Out of This World and Bloke led to their self-titled album in 1996 and Speed Ballads in 1998, placing them at the junction between British rock and club culture; Saffron’s appearance on The Prodigy’s Fuel My Fire in 1997 drew the line clearly. After a pause in the 2000s, Republica regrouped for shows and the Christiana Obey EP, then added new tracks New York (2023) and Hallelujah (2024). Today the project centres on Saffron and keeps that direct, rhythmic mix alive. On 28 November 2026 at The Garage in London, the set spans 90s tracks like Ready to Go alongside recent material, tracing a straight link between their early crossover energy and their current output.
