Closa Selects: Guy Gerber

On 26 September 2026, CLOSA Selects summons Guy Gerber to La Terrrazza in Barcelona. The Israeli producer and DJ pursues a distinctive approach within melodic house and techno. Born in Holon and formed on the Tel Aviv scene, he gained international recognition in the mid-2000s with a sound of slow-to-mid tempos, round basses, repetitive motifs and a meticulous attention to atmosphere, set apart from both more upfront techno and purely functional house.

His albums Late Bloomers (2007) and One Day in May (2011) cemented that more narrative, introspective writing, which is also evident in his DJ sets; his contribution to the Fabric 64 mix (2012) is a useful reference for understanding how he builds layered sets that sustain tension without relying on dramatic effects. In addition, Gerber runs Rumors, a label and events platform that has carried his signature across Tel Aviv, Ibiza and the international circuit.

At La Terrrazza he will deliver a set centred on breathing melodies, elastic grooves and organic transitions, with a gradual evolution conceived for dancing and a contemplative pulse that runs throughout his work.
