Electric Six

Detroit’s Electric Six land at O2 Academy Liverpool on 3 December 2026 with their singular mash-up of alternative rock, funk, garage grit, hard rock bite, new wave angles and disco pulse. Formed in 1996 under the name The Wildbunch before becoming Electric Six, the band broke out in the early 2000s with Danger! High Voltage and Gay Bar, then set the tone with the album Fire in 2003: sharp hooks, danceable rhythms and a taste for deadpan humor. Led since the start by singer Dick Valentine, the only constant in a revolving lineup, they write songs that thrive on the collision between riff-driven energy, synth grooves and pop references.

The story continued with Señor Smoke, Switzerland and a steady run of releases up to Turquoise in 2023. On stage, Electric Six lean into their split personality: part rock club, part neon-lit dancefloor, with choruses built to be shouted back and tempos that refuse to sit still.
